Low Carbon Network News:   When planning for his wedding months ago, the parents of Wuhan man Liuyi wanted to spend 5,000 yuan to hire eight limos for the wedding party, but Liuyi opted instead for a greener choice: a bus.

On May 29, Liuyi's wedding bus, decorated with balloons on both sides and filled with colorful ribbons, entered Hubei University where the bride got on. The front of the bus featured the word "xi," meaning "double happiness," which is a symbol of luck traditionally used in Chinese weddings

The bride Wan Jiaoyang said that one year ago, she and her bridegroom Liuyi were introduced by classmates and instantly felt like they had known each other for years.

The two were both interested in environmental protection. In daily life, they reject using disposable chopsticks, save water, electricity and often participate in a variety of environmental protection actions.

Wan said the bus was economical, practical and eco-friendly. They thought that relatives and friends sitting in the bus together would make it lively, so they spent 600 yuan to rent the bus.
